Sometimes referred to as a dynamic inspection firewall, this type of firewall does more than just look at the ip packets as they come in, it keeps track of every "conversation" and only allows those that were initiated to come back through.

Fail-over Connection

The secondary WAN port can be used for a second internet connection (maybe a cable or DSL backup to your T-1), when your primary Internet connection goes down, it automatically switches over to the secondary connection. LDS™ offers PC based anti-virus solutions that are different from traditional PC based anti-virus products. LDS™ offers Managed Network Anti-Virus solutions - the anti-virus software works with the firewall to ensure that your PC is virus free. This is accomplished in several ways: 1. If a PC trying to access the Internet doesn't have the anti-virus software installed, they are not allowed to access the Internet. 2. If a user disables the anti-virus, they cannot access the Internet. 3. If, for some reason, the anti-virus software did not update it self (the anti-virus software updates itself automatically) - they cannot access the Internet until the update is completed.
